Attendees at our first Braver Angels event in Phoenix heard polarization and promote civil communications between Phoenicians with different political and cultural views. Braver Angels is dedicated to reducing the conflict created by cable TV news and social media.

The September 28 meeting featured a discussion between Daniel Ruiz (R), Chief of Staff to Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and Daniel Hernandez (D), Arizona House of Representatives, District 2, telling how they have found ways to communicate to bridge the political chasms that currently exist within our own state government and seek common ground to get things done. The meeting was led by our Blue and Red Co-chairs, Nedra Eldridge and Joe Prewitt, and is co-sponsored by the Phoenix 100 Rotary Club Downtown Social Crew.

The meeting was hosted at the office of Phocus’ Companies, 7600 N. 16th St., Phoenix.
